Minced Beef | 500g |
Yellow Onion (Diced) | 1 1/2 cups |
Garlic (Chopped Finely) | 2 cloves |
Carrot (Diced) | 1 stalk |
Celery (Diced) | 1 stalk |
Capsicum (Diced) | 1 whole |
Button Mushroom (Sliced) | 80g |
Worcestershire Sauce | 2 tbsp |
Chicken Cube | 1 |
Tomato Puree | 1/4 cup |
Water | 1/2 cup |
Salt & Pepper | To taste |
Sugar | To taste |
Flour | 3 tbsp |
Oil | 2tbsp |
Mash Potato | |
Chad Potatoes | 500g-800g |
Milk | 1/4 cup |
Butter (Unsalted) | 25g |
Salt | To taste |
For the filling - heat up oil (medium high) and fry the beef. Cook the beef until brown
Mix in the onion & garlic. Cook until onion translucent (2-3 mins)
Mix in the carrot, celery and capsicum. Cook about 5 minutes
Mix in the mushroom, let cook for about 1 minute.
Add in the chicken cube, Worcestershire sauce, tomato puree, salt & pepper, sugar.
Put in water, bit by bit - depending on the situation. It should not be too watery. Let it simmer for about 10 - 15 mins (medium heat)
Finally, put in the flour and let the filling cook again about 5 mins. It will be thicken by then,
Put the filling in an oven proof dish. Preheat oven at 180c
For the mash potatoes, wash the potatoes and cut in half
Boil potatoes 10 - 15 mins (until fork tender), drain and put in a bowl.
Mix the potatoes with milk, butter & salt. Mash until it becomes soft. Lil bit of lump is fine (depending on your likes)
Get the filling dish, and top it with the mash.
Bake in the oven for about 30 - 40 mins. Until potatoes become brown / crispy. (anyhow u like)
