Recipe for "Scones"


Tips

serve with hot chamomile or tea.

Ingredients

Self Raising Flour 3 cups
Caster Sugar 3 tbsp
Buttermilk 1 and 1/4 cup
Vanilla Essence 2 tsp
Baking Powder 1 tsp
Cold Butter 80 gram

Instructions

Rub butter on flour in a bowl until fine bread crumbs are produced.set aside.

Heat buttermilk in microwave for 30 seconds.

Add in vanilla essence.

Divide breadcrumbs into two bowl

Pour warm buttermilk on the centre and mix well.

Pour another bowl of flour on the wet dough and mix well.

Place scones on baking tray spread with thin layer of butter and flour dust.

Preheat oven for 10 mins and bake at 200c for 15 mins.

You will have a crispy outer crust of scones. nyums!
