Recipe for "Fig Butter"


Tips

Use semi dries figs. You may use peptin to this recipe. But i opt for natural ingredients using lemon as natural peptin.
It is also a good idea to sterilise the jars before using. Thi recipe gives me about 2 large jar estimating around 600g in total...or probably less.

Ingredients

Semi Dried Fig 150g
Roselle 100g
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Evoo) 1 tablespoon
Lemon Juice 1 whole lemon
Pure Honey 5 tablespoon
Water 1 liter

Instructions

Soak figs for 1hour. Then boil the figs and roselle until soft with 1ltr of water.

Once the figs and roselle are soft let them cool.

Once the fruits are cool add them in food processor with lemon juice, honey and evoo. Blend until smooth.

Once the mixture is smooth and silky, you can store them in a jar and keep in a fridge.
