Recipe for "Premium Congo Bars"


Tips

Use pure butter (I use president)

Ingredients

Superfine Flour 2 3/4 cups
Baking Powder 2 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Pure Butter 200g
Brown Sugar 1 3/4 cups
Large Eggs 4
Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
Chocolate Chips 1 & half cups
Nuts (Walnuts/hazelnuts /cashews /almonds) (Optional) 1/4 cup
Dried Cranberries (Optional) 3 teaspoons
Chocolate Chips 1/4 cups
Pumpkin Seeds (Optional) 4 tablespoons

Instructions

Whisk brown sugar and butter vigorously

Add in eggs one by one and whisk it in the butter and sugar mixture

Pour the vanilla extract in the batter and continue whisking

Add flour in the batter and fold it using spatula (left some flour to coat the chocolate chips)

Add in the chocolate chips and fold them well

Spread the batter into a tray (10 inch X 10 inch). Spread the nuts, cranberries, chocolate chips and pumpkin seeds on the batter.

Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, 170 degree Celsius
