Recipe for "Quick Spicy Pasta With Shrimp"


Tips

Don't like shrimp? Substitute with chicken slices or sliced sausages. Make it vegetarian by omitting the protein. Be creative! :) Double the amount of tomato paste and pasta water if you want more sauce with your pasta.

Ingredients

Fettucine (Or Any Long Pasta Of Choice) 200 gram
Olive Oil 2 Tablespoons
Garlic, Chopped 4 cloves
Tomato Paste (Puree Not Ketchup) 1/2 can (about 4 Tablespoons)
Shrimp, Butterflied With Tails Intact 20 pieces
Parsley, Chopped (Dried Or Fresh) 1/2 Tablespoon
Dried Pepper Flakes (Like The Packet Ones From Domino's Pizza) 1 Tablespoon or less
Salt And Black Pepper To taste

Instructions

Season a pot of water with salt and drizzle some oil. Bring to a boil and cook pasta one minute less than instructed on the package. Reserve one cup of the pasta water and set aside.

While the pasta is cooking, heat a pan on low heat and saute the garlic in the olive oil then increase heat to medium and add in the shrimp.

Stir in the tomato paste and quickly toss in the drained pasta and add 1/4 cup of pasta water.

Sprinkle and stir in the parsley, pepper flakes and black pepper. Add salt if needed.
