Recipe for "Baked Bread Pudding With Fruits Fillings"


Tips

Use white bread instead of wholemeal bread as it will absorb more liquid and can mold into a nice shape after baked.

Ingredients

White Bread 6 pcs
Low Fat/skimmed Milk 1 cup
Soft Margarine (Planta, Naturel, Any Kind Soft Margarine) 3 tablespoon
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Vanilla Essence 1 teaspoon
Egg 1 nos
Sugar 2 tablespoon
Diced Dates 2 pieces
Diced Pear 1/2 serving
Diced Lai 1/2 serving
Raisin (Dot On Top Of Baked Pudding) 1 tablespoon

Instructions

Preheat oven at 165 C

Melt soft margarine & milk in low heat, stir until the margarine dissolve

Add sugar, salt, essence vanilla

In separate bowl, lighly beaten the egg

Combine both mixture and diced fruits in baking mould

Add shredded bread till cover all the mixture. Make sure all the liquid mixture absorbed by the bread

For topping, dot soft margarine/top with raisins

Bake for 15-20 min or until the top of the bread turns brown
