Dry roast fennel seeds, black peppercorns and dried chilies and grind into a fine paste.
Heat oil in a frying pan. Add mustard seeds and wait until they began to pop. Then, add the chopped onions and curry leaves.
Once onions become become translucent, add in ginger, garlic and green chillies. Fry for a minute.
Then add in the turmeric and spice powder followed by the potatoes and cook until the potatoes are almost cooked.
Put in prawns and stir until its well coated with the spices.
Add in sugar, salt and lemon juice.
Turn off the heat. Garnish with coriander leaves.
