Spicy Prawns With Potatoes

Found this yummy recipe in a book. I made some changes to it to suit my taste bud.

Tips

You can replace lemon juice with vinegar.

Ingredients

15-20 medium sized prawns
1tsp black mustard seeds
2 onions-large
20 curry leaves
5 cloves garlic-pounded
1 inch ginger-pounded
2 green chillies-cut in half lengthwise
1tsp turmeric powder
To taste salt
1tsp sugar
1tbs lemon juice
1tbs fennel seeds
1tbs black peppercorns
3 dried chillies
2 potatoes
To garnish coriander leaves

Instructions

Dry roast fennel seeds, black peppercorns and dried chilies and grind into a fine paste.

Heat oil in a frying pan. Add mustard seeds and wait until they began to pop. Then, add the chopped onions and curry leaves.

Once onions become become translucent, add in ginger, garlic and green chillies. Fry for a minute.

Then add in the turmeric and spice powder followed by the potatoes and cook until the potatoes are almost cooked.

Put in prawns and stir until its well coated with the spices.

Add in sugar, salt and lemon juice.
