Recipe for "Steam Chicken With Dried Lily Buds & Black Fungus"


Tips

Dried Lily Buds must be soaked in warm water for about 30 minutes, then rinsed in fresh water. Cut off any hard stem end and cut the buds in half. They can be used whole or broken. Traditionally each strand is knotted before use to bring out the flavor.


Ingredients

Chicken 1/2 bird
Dried Lily Buds 10 pcs
Red Dates 4 pcs
Soaked Black Fungus 4 pcs

Instructions

Wash and remove the fats and skins from the chicken to prevent the gravy become oily.

Cut the chicken into bite size pieces.

Mixed all the above ingredients and seasoning with salt then steamed until cooked.
