Banana Walnut Cake (Small Batch Baking)

Crave for some cake but you have no butter in the fridge? Fret not! No butter is needed. This cake is not too sweet, soft and fluffy! Also, this recipe can be easily doubled or tripled! Best served with a cup of hot coffee :)

Tips

Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature and use brown bananas for maximum flavour. You may add 1/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips if you like chocolate :)

1/3 cup canola oil (or sunflower/corn oil)
1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 egg (large)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 medium-sized ripe banana (mashed)
1 cup (sift) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon (sift) baking powder
1/4 teaspoon (sift) baking soda
A pinch salt
1/3 cup walnuts (chopped)
