Daging salai hendaklah dicuci bersih dahulu, kemudian rebus dengan 1/2 jug air, cili api yg ditumbuk lumat bersama kunyit, garam & serai.
Bila air rebusan dah tinggal suku dlm periuk, terus curahkan santan. Kacau kuah hingga mendidih.
