Ikan Cencaru dibelah belakang dan dibersihkan. Lumur ikan cencaru bersama garam.
Tumbuk bawang bawang dan belacan. Kemudian masukkan cili cili kering kisar. Akhir sekali masukkan garam, gula dan sedikit air asam jawa.
